Statement:
As humans we have a great impact on one another, leaving behind influences we do not recognize, even on our environments. Each person displays individuality, being very distinct and unlike the next. Within ​Sitting Pretty​ I wanted to display this distinctiveness and impact on surroundings by installing a scene with a chair, the power relying on the transformation the space had undergone. I want the viewer to experience a similar feeling as to being in someone’s room without the owner with them. A combination of an invasion of space and privacy as well as the curiosity of who that person sitting was.
