Statement:

This piece, titled “Past, Present, Future, Always” is a meandering journey of exploring personal life experiences. Using this opportunity to communicate ideas both in two and three dimensions, I reflect on the past while looking towards the future with fear, eagerness, and a support system.

Although intrinsically idiosyncratic in subject matter, my intention was to ignite a personal connection between the viewer and their own experiences. The symbolic imagery reflects a great number of common themes one might identify with- love and friendship, desires and dreams, youth and old age, admiration, and the pursuit of accomplishments. This relates to my previous work of contemplating how performance and visual art collide, as well as personal reckoning with change as a common thematic element.
