Artist Statement

Being Mexican-American comes with multiple challenges one, of which is staying authentic to both cultural identities. Putting those who are bicultural in an in-between space allows them to participate in both cultures simultaneously and helps us navigate the world through a hybrid perspective. One creates a space to cope as a bicultural product that allows one to step back and see things through a hybrid lens.
