Statement:

In this series, I was interested in analyzing the way my audience would perceive the work due to the aesthetic attraction caused by the pumice gel. I sought for ways to use this grainy medium in a decorative fashion rather than as solely a texture. I also wanted to make the pumice gel the central aspect of these pieces through intense colors, concentric lines, and overlapping illustrative elements.
