Statement: We attach certain sentiments to inanimate objects. Peoples’ experiences whether directly or indirectly evoke certain emotional ties to a rocking chair. The object conjures up ideas of peace, harmony, warmth and a sense of security. The shape of the chair and having the human understanding of rocking, rocking gently is a common experience associated with it. In a similar manner the human hands are also associated with similar senses of security and warmth. The intent of this piece, transmitting sentiments associated with this inanimate object.
